We recently had the pleasure of staying in the absolutely stunning Stinchcombe Hill House for a long weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful decor and attention to detail in each and every room. The house is not only stylish but also incredibly comfortable, with fantastic facilities that made our stay even more enjoyable. What really stood out, though, was the owner and his staff, in particular Chloe. They were beyond amazing to deal with — friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The service made a huge difference in making our experience even more special. I highly recommend booking this house for anyone looking for a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and excellent service. Can’t wait to return!

I was hosting a family get together for myself, my four sisters, our partners, our children and grandchildren so there were a lot of us! We wanted somewhere we could all enjoy with plenty of space to spread out and rooms big enough to all be together. Stinchcombe Hill House was absolutely perfect. The setting is amazing, the house gorgeous. The fact that every room is en-suite meant there were no arguments about bathrooms and who got the best rooms. There was the downstairs bar and games room for the late party animals, the huge dining room for us all to eat, the party room for everyone to celebrate New Year together and lots of quieter spaces for those who fancied a game of billiards or a quiet sit down. It was amazing. I was worried it wouldn’t be warm enough but it was really well heated, sparklingly clean, the beds were huge and comfortable and it was a perfect venue for us all. The little ones enjoyed the games and the space to play from making gingerbread houses and playing silly games to running round outside and the grown ups enjoyed the opportunity to be together. Lots of great places to visit nearby too. The facilities were amazing. Whatever we wanted whether cooking and eating together or watching films together everything you could think of needing was available. It really was the perfect venue. Not a single family fight broke out - which is unheard of - and we were all able to enjoy a fantastic family reunion with people coming from as far afield as America. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much

We had the most wonderful wedding weekend at Stinchcombe Hill House at the end of November. The main house and stables were immaculate and Phil, Chloe and the team went above and beyond in preparing for our stay and were always excellent at responding to our questions ahead of our visit. Our 22 guests were absolutely blown away by the wonderful decor of the house as well as the facilities and grounds. We would highly recommend a stay at Stinchcombe Hill House and look forward to returning in the future.

I took my family to Stinchcombe for the weekend to celebrate my 70th birthday. We ranged in ages from 10 months to 76 years and there were 27of us in total. The house and stables were absolutely perfect for our party and everyone was stunned by the beauty of them and their surroundings. We were only sorry that we were there for a short time and were therefore not able to make the most of all that was available. The house is cosy and extremely well equipped and had everything we needed. Phillip was very helpful in solving a little problem we had with a battery and it was quickly solved. It was wonderful to be greeted with wine and fruit on our arrival and to have bread, butter, tea and coffee there for consumption before our on line food order arrived. We catered for ourselves and everything we needed was there for us to use. We even managed to navigate the aga and we all decided that we would like 2 dishwashers in our kitchen. Thank you to the wonderful team for everything. We would all love to visit again.

Had THE most amazing birthday weekend at Stinchcombe Hill House. We were a party of 24 so made full use of the main house and stable block, both of which are stunning. The architecture, interior design and facilities are superb. I knew from the website pictures we were in for a treat but nothing quite prepared us for the real life experience - so much so I filmed a tour of the house before everyone arrived. Every aspect has been beautifully thought through with great attention to detail - board games, x-box, DVDs and every conceivable item of crockery and kitchen implement. The rooms are spacious with beautiful views and luxurious bathrooms. We self-catered on the Friday night with a BBQ on the terrace overlooking a beautiful sunset on the Severn estuary - even the weather was perfect - followed by some very competitive snooker playing, darts and table football in the cellar bar. On Saturday night we had a formal dinner in the dining room which been beautifully set up by Chloe & team. We chose a firm of caterers from Bristol - Paxton & Brown - who offered the bespoke style we were looking. Chef James designed the dishes and menu around our wishes and, with his small kitchen and serving crew, created a truly memorable feast. The dishes were generous - the canapes on the terrace kept coming! - and the quality of ingredients was exceptional. I’m so grateful to the Stinchcombe Hill House team - big shout out to Chloe - for helping in the preparations and with invaluable local information. Chloe was always available at the other end of a phone or email and it was a delight to finally meet her and Phillip…and the house! We are plotting a return visit as I can’t imagine anywhere else being as good. A big thank you from us all.

Having viewed the website and booked the accommodation our expectations of Stinchcombe Hill House were high, very high. We weren’t disappointed - the whole weekend from start to finish was mind-blowing. Both the house and stables are stunning and immaculate. The feel inside is one of a very grand, yet snug, welcoming home. The beautiful bedrooms are all decorated and furnished differently and each has a fabulous en-suite. Every guest commented on the incredibly comfortable and spacious beds. The superb kitchen was so well equipped; I can almost guarantee that if you suddenly thought of something you needed it would be in the cupboards somewhere. Washing up in the sink was a joy for once with the breathtaking views out to the River Severn. The kitchen table easily coped with 18 of us for a casual Friday dinner provided and served by the brilliant Berry Blue Catering team. They were quite rightly highly recommended by SHH owner Phil and Chloe, both of whom were unbelievably generous with their time and advice in making the weekend such a success. On Saturday morning all our guests walked to the nearby Leaf and Ground for one of the most delicious and great value Full English Breakfasts. The afternoon was a time for everyone to chill with some free time. Some went walking, some explored the local area by car, some enjoyed an in-house massage, some played snooker and some enjoyed croquet (that we took) on the lawn; a benefit of the unexpected lovely weather in November! Saturday evening was spent in the stunning dining room. The Berry Blue team were just awesome again – they made the best cocktails ever, the meal was an absolute culinary delight both in terms of presentation and taste and they looked after us in such style. The evening kept giving on the arrival of Darren Campbell, the best magician any of us had ever seen. We were all silent at one point, in total disbelief at what we had just witnessed. A true talent and fabulous personality too. The weekend was a celebration of my husband’s birthday in the company of friends. We could not have chosen a better place than Stinchcombe Hill House.

We were part of a large party who filled the house and the Stable block. Our room was in the Stable block and we did not feel left out of the luxury of the house at all. The rooms were beautifully decorated and had everything you could need, the kitchen and sitting room meant that we did not have to keep running over to the bighouse for anything. The outdoor swing chairs were a fabulous addition. The caterers who cooked for us on Friday and Saturday night were fabulous providing great service with discretion and style. The magicain on Saturday night held us all captivated. What a fabulous find.

We have just stayed at the stunning Stinchcombe house for a 40th birthday weekend. The house is just perfect, clean, spacious, two great games rooms for snooker, table football and darts. The garden is spacious and there is massage treatments available for the ladies and the guys enjoyed a round of golf at the golf course just 300 yards from the house. The food from the catering company was fantastic and the whole experience between friends was perfect. Would highly recommend this house to large parties/families

My family and I have just returned from a family gathering this weekend at the house. The house is simply stunning. In particular, there is a bedroom for small children and lots of toys and teddy bears which were thoroughly enjoyed. We were 26 people and there was more than enough rooms to go around. Each room was decorated beautifully and had its own individual charm. The living spaces were also big enough for everyone to be comfortable. There were several places to eat inside and outside, which sat everyone and we even made use of the cinema room to project a home movie. The stables are recently renovated as it is the rest of the house and include several beautiful suites. The hosts could not be more attentive. Our Ocado order arrived early and they put everything away for us and even helped us to book activities in the local area and activities at the house. In terms of the local area, there is a beautiful farm shop where we had a lovely brunch and there was a gorgeous walk down the hill to the farm shop. The property also has two golf buggies which can be used for they was not able to walk down to the farm shop. The house is so beautiful that it is not necessary to eat really leave. Finally, we were able to find a pizza van and a chef to do a barbecue. All in all this house is fantastic and I will definitely be returning.

Hosted our family and friends here for a micro wedding reception after eloping earlier in the year. The house is a hidden gem of the area and so immaculately decorated and cared for. Everyone had a wonderful time and could not believe we had found such a beautiful venue to accommodate our group of 29 people, including two children. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. The hosts Phil and Chloe provided tea, coffee, wine, fruit and some provisions to get us started for the weekend - a Waitrose delivery was easily arranged upon our arrival, but local shops weren’t out of reach if needed. Towels, spare bedding, and hair dryers were available. The beds were incredibly comfortable and everyone had great nights sleep across the main house and stables. Each room having their own en-suite toilet facilities offered privacy and luxury. The recreation rooms (snooker, darts, gym, treatment room) were a welcome addition to suit all hobbies. The Cotswold Way being close by allowed some guests the opportunity to walk to take in the surrounding area. We even had beautiful weather and could take advantage of the camp fire and porch swings. As it was a wedding reception weekend, there was plenty of room for catering and vendors - hair was done by a stylist in the treatment room, so many areas for family photography around the property, a beautiful outdoor space for a mini ceremony, the stunning panelled dining room for catered dinner, and a party room complete with sound system and lighting to dance the night away. The Stinchcombe team suggested Berry Blue catering which we highly recommend as they are familiar with the amenities of the house and make a fab meal for everyone! Honestly could not have imagined a better weekend, and the house has so much to offer for any variety of events. Chloe and Phil were always on hand to answer any questions we had before we arrived and during our stay. In addition to being wonderful hosts, the care and effort are evident throughout every beautiful corner of the house - it’s absolutely stunning! If you’re looking for a unique space with finer comforts for each guest, this is the place!
